It snowed again today. It really messes up flights. A guy that was supposed to leave yesterday is still here, and angry, today. His flight was canceled both yesterday and today.
Not much to say about today really. We went to the “Waste Barn” where all of our trash goes. They manually sort every piece of trash that leaves this continent. We are supposed to sort everything ourselves, and we try, but they go through it all again up at the waste barn.
It is WINDY here today. It is blowing over 35mph currently and that really drops the temperature. I have mentioned numerous times how cold the wind feels, and here are some numbers backing that up.
Ice Stock was a lot of fun. As fun as standing around by yourself for 6 hours in Antarctica can get. And I don’t say that looking for sympathy, because I could easily have made a lot of friends here by now.

Tonight is New Year’s Eve here but it sure doesn’t seem like it.
Just like anywhere, there is not much going on this week. Today was no exception, but the weather was a lot nicer. Bright, sunny and warm (of course relative). And they are beginning to set up for the New Year’s celebration.
It has been snowing a lot recently. The night before it snowed all night, then a good portion of yesterday, a little bit last night, and then most of the day today.
I am clearly still new to this facial hair thing. I have not yet mastered blowing my nose without everything, if you know what I mean, going into my mustache. I mean everything!
I can’t avoid admitting it any longer, I have a cold (or something resembling a cold). My throat hurts and my nose is both runny and stuffy at the same time.
